What we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God.
~Eleanor Powell
I was so blessed by God when I was chosen to be one of the representatives to compete with the other schools during the Intel ISEF Science Fair. I never expect that one of my interests will bring me to the place I’ve been dreaming since I was a little girl. And the place that I’m talking about is also one of my favorite adventures that I have in me. It was my adventure all throughout Legazpi, Albay in the Bicol Region, where we can find the most admired volcano here in the Philippines that is renowned as the ‘’perfect cone’ ’because of its almost symmetrically conical shape, and it’s the Mayon Volcano all about.
When I was already there at Tobacco Albay where the competition will going to take place, I met some of the bicolanos who were very hospitable that I really admire most. During our 1st and 2nd day of our stay there at Tobacco, Albay we spent more our time inreviewing our research projects before the competition, and indeed the time has come to present our research project to the judges we feel so nervous in front of them but we always think positive that we can do everything in the contest and answer the questions well. One day after the contest the winners are already announced and unfortunately were not included but we instill in our minds that we are already winners because we made it to the national level and we are here at Bicol Region. After the contest our teacher Mylene did not forget to tour us all throughout the province of Albay and then we have our chance to see the wonderful tourist destination located at Albay. We went to Lignon Hill the Rappelling area, Albay Park and Wildlife and a lot more but one of my favorite place that I’ve been, was the Casagua Church that was destroyed during the eruption of Mayon volcano in year 1616.
I was so grateful when I went there yes, because I saw the beautiful sceneries but then I realize also that there was a purpose why God let me go there and it was for me to reflect how life be handled and while staying there I learned a lot from our experiences how to accept the if our thought-out plans didn’t go the way we want them to. For the rest of my life it was my favorite be cool Adventure( Bicol ) in my teenage years.
